I love this time of year! The first official garage sales start popping up! I've hit up quite a few these past couple weekends and have a couple observations:
- People are either giving their stuff away or charging store prices - what the heck is up with this?
- There are some deals to be had if you dig deep enough - ie I found lots of name brand clothing at the bottom of piles that no one had bothered to go through.
- Church sales are the best! Now talk about an easy decision - these sales pack in tons of product in one convenient place. Less gas wasted and more deals to find. They usually have VERY reasonable prices as well.
- A close second are neighborhood sales - a great way to get your exercise, save gas (important at $4/gallon) and find LOTS of bargains!
My best find this week was a pair of Men's Keen shoes for $5. These things looked like they had barely made it out of the box! Now I will sell on ebay for about $30 - tidy little profit!

I love garage sales! They are the absolute best- last year we found two new entertainment centers for the kids rooms for $10.00!! Can't beat the price! Now I am going on Craig's list- the free stuff! Got to get on there early in the morning to get the great things that people just want to throw out! lol
